How to import our frames and mounts into ProSelect
Our experience is that viewing software does indeed increase sales and the initial cost is recovered very quickly.
Zipped Files
The ProSelect download files are Winzipped. If you are unfamiliar with Winzip see information at http://www.winzip.com/aboutzip.htm. If you would rather have unzipped files please ask/email us and we will email them to you.
Frames
Firstly download the files of our frames from our website to a folder on your PC. This is Zip File (2.78MB) so you will need to unzip the folder after downloading.
Open Proselect
Select Resources/ Setup Frames
Click on Import Frames Folder and locate the file you have just saved to your PC
Click on the folder and OK. The folder will now appear in the right hand box. If there are folders of frames you want to remove from this list of folders locate them on your PC and delete.
Make a new folder in the left hand box by clicking on the + icon. Name new folder Border Frames
double click on the Border folder to open. All our mouldings will be displayed. The Standard version of ProSelect 2011r1.9 allows you to import five mouldings. The ProSelect Pro version allows you to import as many as you would like. Drag your chosen mouldings from the right hand box into the left hand box and release in your new Border Frames folder.
Mounts
Firstly note that the Border name for layouts in styles. The ProSelect name for layouts is templates. Border describe double mounts, single v groove mounts etc as categories. ProSelect describe double mounts, single v groove mounts as styles.
Download the TPK file of our mounts to the same folder on your PC. (Again this is a zip file 3.75KB and will need to be unzipped after saving)
Close ProSelect on your PC then double click on the unzipped border-templates-and styles TPK file you have downloaded. ProSelect will automatically reopen and give Import Templates prompt. You may wish to rename file Border Templates 2011.
Working with our Frames and Mounts in ProSelect
Select Working with Layouts (second icon on RHS). This will display templates in the lower half of the screen. The Border templates are individually named Style 1 15x12 etc. If the templates you are seeing are not the Border ones use the drop down menu to locate the Border Templates 2011. If at a later time you wish to only show certain templates move the unwanted ones to another group for possible future use. To do this highlight the template(s) you don't wish to show then select Templates/Move Selected Templates to and choose a group number. The group name is changed by Templates/Edit Template Group Names.
Double click on one template for use. Note that this gives you the size but not the appearance of a particular mount. For this to be shown as, for example, a double mount select Select Layout Style (mount icon on right hand side) and choose one, in this case Border Double DGP.
Assuming you have an album open on the left hand side you can drag an image into the mount aperture.
To view with a frame select Set Layout Frame (frame icon on right hand side) and choose a frame from those you imported.
To save a visual Edit/Export/current Display Area Image/Export. Choose a location and file name.
