Guidelines for Frame Builder

Frame Builder lets you see how our frames and mounts look in each size and style. There is an optional Upload Images facility for use with our Print, Mount and Fit framing service. After you have made your choices Frame Builder can add your frames and mounts to your order. Prices are shown in Frame Builder while a user is logged in.

Upload Images
Frame Builder can be used with or without uploaded images. Click 'Browse' and 'Upload' to select photos to view in Build Frame. Photographs should be cropped to the required size e.g. 20x16 prior to uploading. Upload speed will depend on image size and connection speed (average 2.5mb per min)

In production the edge of your photograph will be obscured by the mount as the mount aperture is intentionally slightly undersize.

Select your choice from our fitting services from the options at the bottom right of our upload images tab. The default entry is "No Fit Required" when you are not using the Upload Images facility. In that case go directly to 'Styles' to select a mount or to 'Frames' if you do not require a separate mount.

If you would like us to fit mounted images supplied by you or your lab select "Fit Your Print"
Our fitting charge will be added at the Build Frame section. Please send written instructions with your prints. All prints supplied to us must be mounted on board.

Select Style
If you are choosing a mount select a style and size under Style and the type of mount from the Mount tab.

Select Mount
Make your choice of mount including Single V, Double, Grande or Fillet Mount; you may make other selections from the drop down menu such as Glass and Back

Select Frame
Select one of our ranges from the drop down menu e.g. Avant Frames and choose a frame, then select Build Frame.

Build Frame
Choose between Landscape or Portrait orientation. If you have uploaded images drag these across to the apertures. To add frame and mount to your web order select 'Order Frame'. Selections that have not been ordered will be held in your browser for 20 minutes from the last activity without you saving them provided our site remains open in your browser. You can click 'Save Selection' to save the information for 28 days before being automatically deleted.

There is a Print Selection facility. This will include you images if you have uploaded and placed them. Prices will be shown on the print out only if you are logged in.
